Blangy and the surrounding area
Blangy-sur-Ternoise is the home of the remarkable Sainte Berthe Abbey, which is still a spiritual healing centre today. On another note entirely, this dynamic little village in le Pas-de-Calais is also where the adventures of thecomic book character Cedric take place!
Le Pré Saint-Gilles campsite is located in the heart of the Pays des 7 Vallées, renowned for its unspoilt countryside. Two hiking trails, which can also be done by mountain bike or on horseback, go from the centre of Blangy so you can discover the surrounding countryside, and in particular the woods and the limestone hillsides: the “Sentier des Vallons” and “le Circuit du Chemin Blanc”.
Various tourist sites are also nearby: the battle field and the medieval centre of Azincourt are 7.5 km from the campsite, the old commandery of Bois-Saint-Jean is less than 10 km away, and theMoulin de Maintenay water mill is 30 km away. The Musée vivant de l’abeille d’Opale honey farm is 15 km from Pré Saint-Gilles, and can be visited as a family.
Beer lovers, or those who are simply curious can also discover the brewers’ craftsmanship at the brasserie Quentovic in Beaurainville, half an hour away by car from your holiday accommodation.
